Uniform Apparel was founded in 2019 by textile designer and new mom along with her husband based in California and Tel Aviv. Tired of the plastic found in fast fashion, they decided to start a brand that uses only 100% natural fabrics. 

Uniform Apparel is that capsule wardrobe of basic items that can be mixed and matched to create a perfect "uniform". There are no seasonal collections and items are meant to be worn over time. Clothing is comfortable, breathable, high quality and much better for your skin and the environment. If you visit our site, you know that everything you shop is 100% free from synthetic fibers so you don't even have to check the materials section, its all in the product title.

WHAT ARE NATURAL FABRICS?

Natural fabrics include cotton, linen, silk and wool. These fabrics are made from fibers that are found in their natural state in nature. Meaning, if you pick cotton from a cotton plant you can spin it into cotton yarn mechanically. There are semi-synthetic and synthetic fabrics. Synthetic fabrics include polyester, nylon, Lycra and acrylic. These are petroleum based and are made from the same chemicals as plastic. Semi-synthetic fabrics include viscose, lyocell, Tencel, and rayon and are made from chemically altered wood pulp which is melted, processed and spun into yarn. At Uniform Apparel, we don't use semi-synthetic or synthetic fabrics. 

WHY NATURAL?

Many of our customers say that they automatically reach for the items in their closet that are made from natural fibers and don't even realize it. Your skin breathes in a 100% cotton t-shirt and your body feels this. Not to mention, they are much better for the environment and are biodegradable. 

FACTORIES

We work with two factories in India and Israel. Our silk and some cotton items are produced in Jaipur, while many of our cotton basics are made in Israel.
